EBONYI: Fire Destroys Property Worth Millions NairaProperties worth millions of Naira were on Friday destroyed by an inferno which gutted a shopping complex in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. A lot of goods were destroyed by the fire, including computer sets, photocopiers, printers and generating sets, among other things. Mr. David Chibuzor, a shop owner in the complex, said he was informed about the incident by security men on patrol who called him on phone. He says he doesn't know what caused the fire, which also destroyed a shop near own. Part of the building that houses the shops was also affected. "I lost properties worth millions of Naira, I am owing MTN Communications N200, 000 for cards they supplied me on credit," he said. After a quick intervention of the firemen the inferno was extinguished.
