ASUU Update: The Ultimatum Has Expired. Classrooms, Labs at Nigerian Varsities Are Still Empty (PHOTOS)

Despite the ultimatum issued by the Federal Government to the striking university lecturers on November 28, 2013, and later prolonged till December 9, 2013, there were no signs of reviving the academic activities across the country.
Public university lecturers did not resume on December 9, 2013, Monday, and still maintain the nationwide strike.
The strike, which lasts for 162 days, has been declared in pursuance of the full implementation of a 2009 agreement between the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government.
